CMP Co-Hosts Monday Night Film & Music Salons This Fall
This Fall Cheshire Moon Productions will be co-hosting Monday Night Music & Film Salons at Petit Ermitage, with Darby Gaelle Hannon.
These events kicked off on Monday, August 26th. Live music by Dane Sandborg and Randal Fisher opened the evening. Then at sunset we began a showcase of work by emerging filmmakers, including an exclusive rough cut of Scene House, our proof of concept short directed by Annabella Fazio, produced by Lia Lee and Lime House Pictures, and Executive Produced by Sarah Carter of CMP.
Investors and fellow filmmakers had the opportunity to collaborate and contribute both creatively and financially. Scene House and CMP were raising money for finishing funds for the film, and used this screening as an opportunity to introduce the film to potential contributors.
This exclusive event was the start of an ongoing series at Petit Ermitage intended to connect filmmakers, and to create a space for artists, musicians, actors, cinematographers, writers, and producers to come together and share their work in an intimate setting.
Thank you to Darby Hannon, Fatima, and Petit Ermitage for supporting our final push fundraising for festival circuit and post production costs. We loved sharing in the first of many magical Monday nights together.
Mark your calendars for October 21st for a screening of In Her Name at Petit Ermitage.
DiNG Goes Into Production
At the end of September, DiNG will go into production in Memphis. DiNG is written and directed by Matt Maddox, the first member of the CMP Mentorship Program and a close friend of the company. This will be Matt’s first short film.
Matt Maddox was introduced to Sarah Carter as a filmmaker to watch out for. They began following each other on social media, and quickly became each other’s greatest champions.
After finding inspiration in both his work and his presence, Matt was the choice filmmaker to initiate the CMP Mentorship Program, designed to support artists to refine their creative process, nurture their ideas and garner recognition.
DiNG follows two girls ding dong ditching houses in a suburban cul-de-sac who stumble upon a neighborhood secret that alters their world forever. Follow along for more updates on the project as we move into production.
