Tribeca Releases

In Her Name is the first of 8 films to launch on this new platform, and we need all the support that we can get to help this innovative and passionate team set sail!

While celebrating In Her Name as the first of the Tribeca Films new distribution platform earlier this month, we ran into our friend and inspiration, Gabriella Garcia, who absolutely killed it with Untold Stories as one of the top five filmmakers in competition for their million dollar development grant!

Shout out to Nick Savva and Madeleine Shumacher our reps at Giant Pictures who have been incredible with communication and support along the way!

Drafthouse Films

Drafthouse Films is a partner label of Giant Pictures, and a curated brand of provocative, visionary and artfully unusual films from around the world.

In Her Name will be the first film distributed under the Tribeca Films banner in partnership with Giant Pictures and Drafthouse Films.

Giant Pictures

Giant Pictures is a proud partner of Tribeca Channel, Apple TV+, Amazon, and more, providing distribution to studios and filmmakers around the world.

Tribeca Enterprises and Giant Pictures partnered to create Tribeca Films, a new distribution label aimed to support independent films by providing the opportunity to distribute across streaming platforms and generate revenue for filmmakers.

Tribeca Films aims to offer full creative control to the filmmakers while supporting the distribution process by facilitating the delivery, placement, and promotion of the films across media channels such as Amazon, Apple TV+, Roku, Google, Vudu, Kanopy, and more.

Tribeca Film Festival

In 2022, I attended Tribeca for the WORLD PREMIERE of In Her Name, and we took home the AUDIENCE AWARD.

In 2024, I had the honor of attending once more to celebrate Tribeca Film Releases and our own WIDE RELEASE OF IN HER NAME!

I am so moved to have In Her Name honored and included as part of the Tribeca Film Festival mission to amplify independent voices through Tribeca Film Releases. I have learned that selling a movie is an absolute miracle, and I’m very grateful for the hard lessons and strings of little white lights guiding me through to the end of many dark tunnels. To have had such a grassroots filmmaking experience, and to finally reach this moment of distribution with a company that truly cares about the careers of their filmmakers, is incredibly heartening.

We are thrilled to be supported by Giant Pictures, who are committed to getting behind award-winning filmmakers they believe in to help them recoup their investments and continue to build their careers. We feel profoundly aligned with the mission of Tribeca Films, creating a necessary shift in the industry towards freedom for artists as a way to elevate culture as a whole. Artists are the magicians of humanity and crucial to a healthy society.

Cheshire Moon Productions has been investing in unknown artists and facilitating creative career shifts for years, and the funds from the sale of In Her Name will go directly into these upcoming projects and creators.

New Jersey Independent Film Festival

After photoshoots, a panel, and an event for our distribution deal with Tribeca Films and Giant Pictures, I received a call to say In Her Name would be screening that evening in New Jersey and would I be available for a Q&A. I immediately responded “YES” without thinking. Next thing I know, I’m in a black car on my way to New Jersey to catch the tail end of the film, witness laughing and crying in a packed theater, receive love, and answer questions like, “What do you want people to take away from the film?”

As artists it’s easy to feel drained and overwhelmed by the business and promotion that feels necessary to survive. It was a soul-saving gift to be reminded of the power of the film itself and who I truly am while swept up in a whirlwind of sales pitching and credentials.

The night was made even more special for me when I realized they were showing an old cut of the film with my brother covering a Neil Young song over the credits that didn’t make the final edit because we couldn’t afford the rights. To hear his voice again while setting the film free into its next chapter was an absolute blessing.

Thank you, Chris, for holding my heart and keeping my integrity in check from the other side as much as you did when you were here… saying yes to the tiny miracles that matter most.

And thank you, New Jersey Independent Film Festival, for honoring us with another BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE AWARD.

Scene House, Directed by Annabella Fazio

We are so excited to announce our latest collaboration: CMP has taken on the short film Scene House, now in production in London, written and directed by Annabella Fazio Mineghino who is already in talks with Neon to develop the feature through Sundance London’s pitch program.

Congratulations Annabella and the entire Scene House team!

Thank You

Thank you all so much for your support of In Her Name. This film has been a labor of love from start to finish, and we couldn’t have made it to this point without each of you. It’s time to keep the dream alive by purchasing the Blu-ray or DVD, renting it or buying it on your favorite streamer, sharing it and celebrating — WE DID IT!
