NÒT FILM FEST Short Selections at Petit Ermitage
CMP co-hosts Monday Night Music & Film Salons at Petit Ermitage with Darby Gaelle Hannon, and BLKBRD Films. Our event on Monday, December 2nd featured a night of short films curated by Gio Labadessa, the co-founder of Not Film Festival.
Doors opened at 7:00pm for drinks, food and music. At 8:00pm we moved to the firedeck for our screening of short films by NÒT FILM FEST director Gio Labadessa. The festival has been held yearly since 2018 in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy, and was listed by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the 20 international film festivals essential to independent cinema.
This screening included a special appearance by festival director Gio Labadessa as well as the local filmmakers who created these films. A Q&A followed the screening.
Not Film Festival holds a very special place in our hearts. CMP’s relationship with Not began back in 2022, when we were invited to screen In Her Name and Sarah Carter won Best Director.
Not invited us back in 2023 to screen A Pity, where co-director Kevin Barth got to screen the film and Sarah spoke on an Indie Producers panel.
Another special memory from last year’s Not was meeting Annabella Fazio (left), whose short film Scene House was executive produced by Sarah Carter and Cheshire Moon Productions.
If you have a short film or feature you would like to submit for consideration please contact Sarah Carter, Darby Hannon or James Oliver directly, or contact us here at CMP with a link to your film, a short bio, and a description of the project. We are currently curating a celebration of women in film, so be sure to submit and look out for more information on that event.
Our next screening will be Monday, December 16th.
