Petits Salons Presents: Heathers
On Monday, April 21st, Petits Salons screened the 80s cult-classic Heathers as part of our ongoing Monday Night Film & Music Salon Series at Petit Ermitage Hotel.
Petits Salons is a continuous festival and community-building event hosted by Cheshire Moon Productions, Darby Gaelle Hannon, and BLKBRD Films. Our mission is to inspire, support, and share the stories behind our filmmaking journeys—celebrating the sheer miracles required to bring any successful film to life.
Doors opened at 7pm in The Wiggle Room for live music by PAIGE STARK. At 8pm we moved to the fire deck for our film screening of Heathers, followed by a Q&A with screenwriter Dan Waters.
Veronica (Winona Ryder) is part of the most popular clique at her high school, but she disapproves of the other girls' cruel behavior. When Veronica and her new boyfriend, J.D. (Christian Slater), confront clique leader Heather Chandler (Kim Walker) and accidentally poison her, they make it appear a suicide. Soon Veronica realizes that J.D. is intentionally killing students he does not like. She races to stop J.D. while also clashing with the clique's new leader, Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty).
**This screening included a Q&A with Heathers screenwriter Dan Waters.
Scene House Showcase
On Wednesday, April 23rd, Ink Factory in London will be hosting a screening and Q&A for our very own Scene House. Filmmaker Annabella Fazio and Producer Lia Lee will both be in attendance to discuss the film. If you are in London and would like to attend feel free to to reach out directly for details.
Looking at societal obsession with celebrity culture, Scene House is set in a dystopian future where actors inhabit an enclosed area called The Scene House – an unsettling hybrid of a theme park and museum. Here, observers pay to enter and, for an additional cost, interact with the actors. One of these Actors begins to question their existence in The Scene House as the boundaries blur between performance and reality.
A Pity Score Now On Spotify
The score for A Pity was recently released on Spotify by composer Ali Helnwein. Feel free to check it out here.

Ali Helnwein is the composer for A Pity and an absolute genius. Ali has had a robust career as an LA-based composer who has worked on multiple Emmy and Grammy winning projects.
