Petits Salons Presents: PROOF Film Festival Showcase

Petits Salons Partners with PROOF Film Festival for a Special Monday Night Film & Music Salon at Petit Ermitage

On March 17th, Petits Salons partnered with PROOF Film Festival, a Los Angeles-based festival dedicated to showcasing the best in proof-of-concept short films, fueled by American Cinematheque. Together, we were thrilled to present five award-winning proof-of-concept short films as part of our ongoing Monday Night Film & Music Salon Series at Petit Ermitage Hotel.

We opened the evening with musical performances from Roksana Zeinapur, Taylor Goodridge, and Pietro Ruscigno, followed by the five featured short films of the evening. This screening included a Q&A with the filmmakers following the screening moderated by PROOF Film Festival Founder and American Cinematheque Programmer Imani Davis.

Petits Salons is a continuous festival and community-building event hosted by Cheshire Moon Productions, Darby Gaelle Hannon, and BLKBRD Films. Our mission is to inspire, support, and share the stories behind our filmmaking journeys—celebrating the sheer miracles required to bring any successful film to life.

PROOF is a highly competitive and uniquely curated short film festival dedicated to proof-of-concept storytelling—offering emerging filmmakers a launchpad for larger projects. A proof-of-concept is a short film that effectively conveys the concept, story, tone, and themes of a potential feature film or television series. More than just a festival, PROOF opens doors for future filmmaking opportunities and serves as a one-stop shop for discovering the next wave of talent.
