Upcoming Festivals
The soils at CMP are rich with inspiration after sharing In Her Name at Not Film Fest in Italy. Special thanks to the festival founders Giovanni Labadessa and Alize Latini who wined us, dined us, and uplifted our spirits honoring the cultural importance of independent cinema and innovative storytelling.
Producer and actor James Aaron Oliver joined Sarah Carter at Not, before meeting friends at the Venice Film Festival. Sarah returned home to Los Angeles with an award for Best Director along with new friends and collaborators who’s work we’ll be promoting throughout the coming months. The love of art and humanity in Italy is unparalleled. It’s been a privilege and great pleasure to have been invited to celebrate our first features there at three festivals in Siena, Ischia, and Santarcangelo.
Those of us in the independent film world share a mission to bring people and new ideas together with an understanding of the social impact of freedom of expression at the highest level. Community is what makes indie filmmaking possible.

I’m grateful for every minute of this magical life and want nothing more than for all of us to notice the beauty… especially when it’s ugly… like the fairy tale… if you can see the beauty in the beast you have found true love… that is filmmaking for me… It’s my love language.
